Crysis 2 – review

Make a dramatic change from its original incarnation lush jungles, Crysis 2 shifts its efforts in the Run and gun for a war-torn, disease-stricken New York City – a change in weight, which only adds to the high expectations. Its release was original benchmark, whereby PCs tested their power, performance and speed, which leaves this new multi-platform games with a huge amount to live up to. Storywise, however, at least, we are working in basic solution, familiar territory. Marine named Alcatraz; Alien invasion coveted Nanodragten 2.0 tanks and a mysterious organization coveting your special suit complete the roll-call votes.

New engine with the regime, the Visual effects stunning, draw distances long and texture details top-notch-characters. On the first fighting game to live up to its pioneering heritage (at the moment there are not more visually stunning title on the market), but it is not without problems — especially the clumsy AI, which sometimes are confused by ledges, boxes, and, goodmost objects, it decides to go into.

Just as the audio is on the whole, in addition, there are times play when sound gets caught in a loop, forcing a restart in order to solve. Crytek have also dropped original "everywhere" Save setting, which was very convenient, just before a major attack, and switched to more mainstream, console-shooter game checkpoint system. This seems unbalanced at times with the distance between inspection posts often either very short or, exceptionally, for a long time, again leading to some incredible criminal areas.

Despite these dumb, however, and a first few hours of play, which would leave the players new to the new game asks what the hype was all about, as the story picking up speed it plays very well, and build a satisfying and surprising end in reasonably timed 10 hours of the campaign.

The real life, which is always in multiplayer. An area Crysis 2 succeeds admirably is leaning away from the large, war became one of the first game battles and against an additional call of duty-style fast-paced shooter. Nanodragten powers to add a new layer of tactics to be explored and backed up with a well-defined progression system to keep gamers coming back, it is a multiplayer offers outshoots all other high-quoting experiences currently available, even allows for certain record-launch problems affecting party mode.

Crysis 2 looks amazing, plays well, offers a rewarding multiplayer and have – a few less audio and AI bugs away – quite reached high standards its sights on.
